Easy Day

Windham Millwork was responsible for the entire design, manufacturing and installation of all the millwork at Easy Day Restaurant and Bowling Alley.  Easy Day is a family oriented restaurant and entertainment center. With 10 lanes of bowling, a restaurant, lounge and large bar all in one venue it makes it a destination spot for families or friends to go and have a good time.

Inside Easy Day, all of the maple millwork showcased was handcrafted and installed by Windham Millwork.  The bowling alley area displays a curved check in desk custom built for the space with maple shoe racks built behind it. A large drink rail over looking the bowling lanes allows a waiting area for customers to hang out before they bowl.  There are numerous columns that are wrapped with maple panels that match the color scheme of the entire restaurant throughout.

The restaurant end of the building displays some beautiful pieces of millwork.  Once you enter the building you are met in the waiting room by custom benches and a custom Easy Day Restaurant hostess station that welcomes you as soon as you open the door.  The massive 73′ custom maple bar is the centerpiece of the entire restaurant and focal point as you walk in.  Inside the bar WMI also created a 9′ island to display its liquor and a tap tower on top. Windham Millwork manufactured 39 custom restaurant tables of all sizes throughout.  The custom maple benches, banquettes and booths were also built by WMI.  Wall caps, sliding glass doors, casings, jambs, waitress stations and drink rails can also be noticed in the dining area. Office countertops and cabinets were all a part of the work that WMI completed at Easy Day Restaurant.

For Windham Millwork this restaurant is the second design build for owner Chris Tyll. Tyll also owns Pat’s Pizza in the Old Port, which Windham Millwork  helped design and build back in 2010.  A former Navy SEAL, Tyll named the restaurant Easy Day after the Navy SEAL motto “the only easy day was yesterday.”
