Windham Millwork, Inc has been awarded with its third hotel opportunity at Jay Peak Resort. The new hotel, Stateside Hotel and Lodge, will be replacing the 50 year old Stateside Chalet. The new hotel is 84 rooms and roughly 70,000 square feet. In addition to the hotel will be a 12,000 square foot skier service building. This day lodge will have an area for over 300 people at one time and will include food service. Also in this will be guest day use lockers, retail, rest room facilities, ticket sales/customer service, and a ski school sales desk.
The Stateside Hotel and Lodge will be the third hotel Windham Millwork, Inc has been involved with at Jay Peak. The other two hotels were Jay Peak Hotel and Conference Center and Tram Haus Lodge. In addition to those hotels, WMI has also been the sole millwork company at the Clubhouse Suites and Ice Haus Arena. WMI’s ability to complete fast track high quality millwork allows them to be the preferred woodworking company at Jay Peak.
Hotel opportunity
The new hotel started in April and will need to be completed before the ski season starts. Making the schedule very demanding but circumstances WMI knows it can excel in.”Our team is always preparing to face tight schedules and fast track projects. From our design team to our install team. The hotel and day lodge will feature a lot of rustic woodwork consisting of rough sawn pine, hickory and birch. The entrance will feature a large reception desk and a featured stair case. There will be a few bars and a restaurant located inside the new project as well. WMI will also be responsible for all the woodwork involving the retail areas, medical office, ski rental and ski patrol areas. Work will include cabinets, countertops, trim, paneling and specialty millwork. In addition to the manufacturing of all of the interior woodwork, WMI will also be sending its talented installation team on site to make sure all of its work is installed properly and with the highest quality.
